(Ecce Ancilla Domini - Behold the handmaid of the Lord)

Mary raised her head slowly.
A warm golden light had fallen all over the sky.
She felt a light warm breeze caressing her face, her white veil and her silk dress; and it was, she could have sworn it, not earthly. It could not be a dream - dreams were not as real as this angel, who she now saw descending from the golden sky.
Then the angel spoke to her.
"Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you."
