Before Nike was a shoe brand, she was the Greek victory goddess. Her Ancient Roman equivalent was Victoria. :)

The inscription on the temple: NUMQUAM DESPERA = Never give up (Latin)

There is a famous statue of her in the Louvre today, which was my main inspiration and reference: [link]
The face is referenced from =Kxhara . Sky and clouds referenced from image from www.cgtextures.com .
Temple is referenced from a 3D model.

Simply beautiful. You have captured the essence of the statue and what it represents. I love the fact that you made her a black haired woman  , it's makes the whole painting even more historically accurate, as Greek women are not light coloured (and this comment coming from a Greek person with light coloured features, but anyway! :P)

And to show you how much I love this, I'm featuring it here! :D [link]
