I cannot hardly begin to express my adoration for this art piece. The autumn leaves and moth, the crimson cloth. These two both look so real in their faces and bodies. The expressions and shapes are just like us in the truth, we all have imperfections and creases, it is the promise of humanity, that nothing is perfect. I like to think, what if I was in that place, in this painting? It would be maybe like a paradise. I really like the subtle sensuality but alluring nature this painting gives. The shadings are so superb and oh gosh, just so incredulously good. I also very much like the title, "This hour weighs 2000 years." It makes the impact even more. . . reverberant, more like you can understand how long a moment like this would last, a moment of paradise could feel like a forever. 5 stars isn't ever going to be enough to show how much I like this. It's so natural and has an honest feel to it. You can see it in the faces of these two in the painting. Overall . . . wow.

Many people ignore works that are so popular forgetting that a piece is often popular for a reason. There are so many reasons why this is amazing and I hope to point out the less than obvious ones.

I love that you have these people real imperfections, like real people. The folds on the hips, near the guys bottom, the human like chin for the girl instead of the perfect one, the curl of the mans toes...

I love the shadows all over their skin suggesting sun peeking through foliage or perhaps dirt. The colour pallet is fantastic and complimentary. The poses and angles were chosen well and the subject itself reveals so much latent imagery. I think of Adam and Eve when I see this. Really well done, expertly crafted!
